When putters were made 100 years ago, greens were much more sluggish than they are today and clubs had more loft than those we use on modern greens. Having putted with a 6-degree putter for almost 4 seasons, my question is whether it is a better technique to putt with forward pressure and thus reduce the effective loft at impact? If any of the readers of these pages have any good experiences with this, I would be grateful for a dialogue.
